RLT Annual Meeting: Blakely Szosz presents "Supporting Pollinators — Landscaping with Compassion"
Join us at the Carpenter Museum on Monday, March 4 at 7pm for the RLT Annual Meeting. Learn about what we’ve accomplished this last year, what our future plans are and how you can help support our mission to protect our Rehoboth land and natural resources.
Blakely Szosz will present her talk on "Supporting Pollinators — Landscaping with Compassion."
With over 25 years as a professional gardener, Blakely Szosz has a compassionate approach to her relationship with the landscape. She is former President of Barrington Garden Club, current President of RI Federation of Garden Clubs, past president of Barrington Land Conservation Trust and has been Head Gardener at RI Country Club for 14 years.
Her presentation will focus on the critical role of pollinators and how we, as land stewards, can support them. As we manipulate our suburban environment, it is within our power to evoke positive effect by planting thoughtfully and with purpose of place. In this discussion, Blakely will specifically address pollinator plants in the landscape- their necessity- and the hows and whys of what works for both you and the increasingly fragile ecosystems that we steward.
All are welcome to attend.
